Order Execution: Reading and accurately interpreting order tickets (chits) and preparing dishes in the correct sequence and to the required specifications. This often means cooking multiple orders simultaneously. Inventory Management: Assisting with tracking inventory levels for your station, reporting any shortages to the chef or kitchen manager, and participating in receiving and storing deliveries. Collaboration: Working effectively with other kitchen staff, including prep cooks, other line cooks, the expediter, and the chef, to ensure timely and efficient service. Quality Control: Ensuring that all food prepared meets the restaurant's quality standards for taste, appearance, and temperature. This includes tasting dishes and making necessary adjustments.
