I am currently a staff accountant in a US based company Anabi Oil Corp. I do a bank reconciliation of all AP and Depository accounts. If ever there are transactions that haven't been booked I will prepare the journal entries and have it approved in our Controller for posting.

My responsibility is to reconcile daily transaction per book against per bank. Seeing to it that they are align and do necessary adjusting entries to those amounts that entered in the bank but not yet booked.
