As an accounting clerk, I was responsible for accurately recording and classifying expenses in QuickBooks Desktop, verifying fund availability before issuing checks, and managing check batches for approval. I processed accounts payable and receivable efficiently, audited customer accounts and delivery transactions, and ensured accurate documentation of returns and project billings. I also reviewed pricing on delivery receipts and order slips, issued billing statements, invoices, and receipts, and matched payments to corresponding invoices in QuickBooks. In addition, I prepared and sent monthly Statements of Account via email and courier, while providing general administrative and accounting support. I was also involved in coordinating project billings, ensuring timely documentation, proper cost allocation, and communication between departments and clients. Through this role, I developed strong attention to detail, practical skills in financial systems and reconciliation, and gained valuable experience in project coordination, time management, and cross-functional communication.
